This remanufactured compressor fits all hard-top or pop-top, gasoline-powered, water-cooled Vanagons from 1983-85; 1986 pop-top with factory or aftermarket A/C; and all 1987-89 with non-factory A/C. NOTE: Aftermarket A/C systems may require additional components, such as fittings.

Application Guide:
This is a 5-cylinder compressor. It has two male threaded fittings on the back. The hoses that fit this compressor have female threaded ends (nuts) that attach to the back of the compressor separately. Please ensure that your existing compressor fits this description prior to ordering.

A core charge is a deposit until your old compressor is returned and inspected. All or part of this deposit may be forfeited depending upon the condition of the core.
