Session #42 - Ira Wolf & Lee Henke
Artist Bio:
This special Westy Session features returning Westy Session artist, Ira Wolf, along with Lee Henke, performing in our very own GoWesty parking lot. After recording our second-ever Westy Session (“Baby”), Ira toured the country in a GoWesty-built Vanagon camper, which she lovingly named “Ruby.” By the tour’s conclusion, Ira had fallen in love with Ruby and made it her mission to purchase the van. Fast forward two years… and Ruby and Ira have been reunited!
The two have spent the last two years continuing to travel around the country playing shows to enthusiastic crowds. In this session, Ira Wolf performs an old folk tune called “Dink’s Song” (otherwise known as “Fare Thee Well”), while Lee Henke performs an original song called “Red Tailed Hawk.” These two have a wonderful, complementary musical chemistry. We hope you enjoy this session as much as we did filming it!
