We purchased this Westy from the original owner. We paid her $6,720 for it, plus $650 shipping, which was very fair. We are marking this one up 20%. So, including shipping and our mark up, this one starts our at $8,750. You would be hard pressed to find a Westy this nice and unmolested for anywhere near this price.

This Westy has all original paint, no rust, and very minor body damage. The price above includes (not pictured or done yet):

How pleased are you now with GoWesty? Do you think they did good work and delivered what they promised?

Are you pleased with your VW? Is there anything you feel you might have done differently in hindsight?

GoWesty did a fantastic job as far as I can see. The vehicle is outstanding. I received the VW at the end of October and, being the end of the season here in Ontario, I've not been able to get it out camping yet. I have had it out on the road a few times during good days with the rest in inside the garage for the winter and been going over all the systems and I am quite pleased. Lucas and the guys delivered what they promised as far as I can see. It all seems to work just fine.
I do enjoy the VW campers. Had an '87 manual model a few years back. Purchased it new and missed it when it was gone. Moved overseas for work so couldn't keep it about. The '91 is quite similar but now has the 2.5 (great engine for the few kilometers I've had it on the road). It does have much better power and, with the 5-speed, has some good get-up-and-go with better economy at the highway speeds. Especially more important now as it burns 91 octane minimum compared to the 87 octane I used on the 2.1.
Anything to do differently? I would add the centralized locks for the doors. My wife misses those although I don't really seem to be concerned by it but...it would make her happier.
For now, just can't wait to get it out as the season approaches. For a little history, I'd been looking at GoWesty for about two years before taking the time to visit them in Los Osos last March 2008. My wife and I liked what we saw, met the folks, and thought about it some more for about another month. Then, made a move to purchase #957 as we had seen it in the lot at the time and it was quite similar to our old vehicle.
Our plans are to keep it going for many years to come as it suits us just fine.
Having searched out and watched several VW outfits these past few years, I am happy with GoWesty. I think they were the best for our purpose and hope they continue to be for support in the years ahead.

Good luck with your project should you decide to move forward. I doubt you'll be dissappointed with GoWesty's work.
