This is the quintessential Southern California 1987 Vanagon Westy. Totally rust free, original paint in super condition. The perfect restoration candidate. We paid $6200 for this Westy, which was a very decent price. Even with our mark up, doc fees, and safety inspection, total price for the vehicle itself comes to only $7580, which it is great value.
Tim for Oregon snapped this baby up, and is throwing the book at it. It is a rare individual that comes to GoWesty with a vision, and can see past the shortcomings of what is right in front of him. Tim test drove and liked this Westy, but wanted a whole bunch more out of it. He paid up front for the vehicle itself ($7580) plus 1/2 of the upgrades, and left us alone to "get her done!".
Total out the door price of $63,802.09 includes:
GoWesty thorough restoration inside, outside, and under
-no stone left unturned
-all systems gone through thoroughly
-over $2500 worth of just-in-case stuff
Fresh GoWesty 2.5 liter engine
Fresh GoWesty custom geared 5-speed with Syncro locking differential
Syncro suspension, but still 2WD!
Skid plate instead of spare up front
GoWesty Syncro progressive 2" lifting Springs
BFG tires on GoWesty 16" alloy wheels
Big brakes up front
Frig removed and space converted to more cabinet space
Full electric Engel frig/freezer system installed
65 Watt solar panel installed on roof-quick release style
50 foot extension cord for solar panel so it can be pointed towards the sun all day long!
Deluxe 2nd battery system
Nice stereo
Complete diassem!bly and complete exterior restoration
GoWesty 3-window acryilic pop-top tent
And a whole bunch more...
Super nice Westy Happy trails, Tim!

Subject: Update
The van gets compliments everywhere I take it. People ask a lot of questions and tell me about their Westies and how they regret having sold them. I've seen footprints in the snow made by people stopping by to look in the windows. It's been a lot of fun.
Thanks,
Tim
