This is Steve and Rachele. They drove about 600 miles from just north of Lake Tahoe to pick up this 1989 Syncro Westy This one started out at the beginning of the project as a nice, rust free example already fitted with a GoWesty 2.4 liter engine. We paid $22,500 for it, and sold it to Steve for cost plus 10%. Then we went down Steve's wish list and did as much as he could afford, plus a wee bit he could not... But what the hell, you only live once! Total out the door price was $52,877, including:

When Steve showed up we had a chance to take it out and put it through some hoops. We drove it and my Syncro up the top of "suicide hill" in Cayucos, California. Steve was grinning from ear to ear when he drove his Syncro the side of a hill, barely on the throttle, in total control. Rachele sitting in the back screamed only once!
