Description:

This is a GoWesty "base model" Syncro. It has our FOX shock kit, progressive 2" lifting springs, torque-biasing differentials front and rear, solid shaft/decoupler combination, and just one knob to select 4WD on the fly.

We built this Westy for Tim back in 2007 as a super high-end 2WD. For details on that sale, click here. Here is a summary of what we did back then:

• GoWesty thorough restoration inside, outside, and under
 - all systems gone through thoroughly
 - over $2500 worth of just-in-case stuff
• Fresh GoWesty 2.5 liter engine
• Fresh GoWesty custom geared 5-speed with Syncro locking differential
• Syncro suspension, but still 2WD!
• Skid plate instead of spare up front
• GoWesty Syncro progressive 2" lifting springs
• BFG tires on GoWesty 16" alloy wheels
• Big Brake Kit up front
• Fridge removed and space converted to more cabinetry space
• Full electric Engel fridge/freezer system installed
• Solar panel installed on the A/C unit, quick-release style
• 50 foot extension cord for solar panel so it can be pointed towards the sun all day!
• Deluxe 2nd battery system
• Nice stereo
• Complete disassembly and exterior restoration
• GoWesty 3-window acrylic pop-top tent

Total price to build this vehicle back in 2007 came to $70,065.33. Tim put 30,000 miles on this Westy and really enjoyed this vehicle, but he needed to sell it for personal reasons. We happily bought it back, rolled up our sleeves, and did the following:

• Syncro conversion completed—it is now a 4WD vehicle
• All fresh running gear: transaxle, front differential, axles, drive shaft
• Torque-biasing differentials front and rear—no locking differentials
• Drive shaft decoupler and solid shaft for 4WD on the fly (one knob does it ALL)
• Major service—all maintenance items back to zero miles
• Auxiliary battery system updated to current state of the art
• Rear bumper updated to latest GoWesty design
• Space saver spare on top of skid plate
• Mini compressor to inflate spare when needed
• Thorough detailing inside and out—looks brand new again!

So, it is now a Syncro with all fresh running gear, is just as nice inside and out as when we built it 5 years ago, has a GoWesty 2.5 liter engine, and is about $6,000 less than it cost to build the first time. That makes this Westy a particularly good value.

TW from California snapped this puppy right up. Total out the door price includes all tax and license, shipping to his door, and the following items he had added:

• Rear bumper mounted swing away carrier on left side
• Full size spare tire on back
• Propex built-in furnace
• Updated stereo unit

Nice buy, Tee Doubleya!
